Mature Beauty Tips: I use liquid foundation on my mature skin and I really love this makeup cosmetic brand product: Wet N Wild Ultimate Sheer Tinted Moisturizer. I love the Sun Kissed Color #183
Wet and Wild Utimate Sheer Tinted Moisterizer (I like their foundation color Sun Kissed Baiser solaire #183) is one of the best low price liquid foundations. Wet N Wild liquid foundation costs a fraction of the price ($3.99 for 1 fl. oz) of comparable Mac or Sephora foundation and is also even less expensive than other drugstore brands including Revlon, CoverGirl, Neutrogena and Physician’s Formula.
Start off with a quality concealer to hide your mature beauty flaws
I have mentioned before in other mature beauty tips that I think concealer is the one makeup you should spend money on and I use Mac NW 15 and Mac NW 20. The Mac NW15 is slightly lighter than my natural skin tone and gives good flaw coverage after which I use the NW20. It is after the concealer that I use the Wet N Wild tinted moisterizer for my liquid foundation. Wet N Wild calls it tinted moisterizer, but it is in essence a liquid foundation. I’ve tried other brands and Wet n Wild is my definitely my favorite liquid foundation makeup for the price.
Next apply Wet N Wild liquid foundation ever so slightly darker than your natural skin tone
The Sun Kissed color #183 is ever so slighly darker than my real skin tone. Most makeup experts recommend that you match your skin tone exactly but for flawless mature skin I prefer to use concealer that is a tad lighter than my skin followed by a liquid foundation that is slightly darker than my skin tone. First, I use (Mac NW 15) concealer to cover flaws, I go over that lightly with a second concealer that is pretty much matches my exact skin tone (NW20) then I apply the Wet and Wild #183 which is ever so slightly darker than my real skin tone. This gives a nice glow to my skin and cuts out the pale and paltry. Mature women’s skin tends to get washed out and dull (requiring a light color concealer) so the ever so slighly darker foundation adds life and glow back on to the skin color.

After liquid foundation is blended, use pressed or loose powder to add more color and set
After I put the liquid foundation on I matte the final result with a little bit of tan colored powder (either a pressed compact or loose bronze powder) applied with a large sponge. I prefer a sponge over a brush because it makes less of a mess. That finishes my foundation look. I know that some makeup specialists recommend against liquid foundation as they claim it can have a caked on look. However, I personally think that if it is done lightly and blended properly that concealer and liquid foundation looks best on mature women. Concealer followed by liquid foundation is the best way to cover and even out all the aging flaws that I have. I cannot get away with only powder foundation (such as Bare Minterals or Bare Essentials mineral powders). Mineral powder foundation does not give my face the appearance of flawless glowing moist skin that I want. I do use pressed powder and/or powder to add a final dash of color, but only after the concealer plus liquid foundation step.
You have to be careful when trying to find low cost cosmetics and makeup. For example, I use Wet N Wild makeup and cosmetics brand liquid foundation and mascara but not much else from the Wet N Wild line. I would not use a Wet N Wild concealer or eyeliner pencil for example, as I don’t particularly like those products of theirs. It really takes some time to identify a particular makeup that saves you money but still works. It is definitely worth experimenting because liquid foundation is a throw away cosmetic that only lasts a month or two and if you can buy one for under five dollars instead of paying ten or fifteen dollars you can potentially save one hundred dollars a year on your makeup foundation alone!
I hope you enjoyed this mature beauty tip on how you can look flawless and simultaneously save money on liquid foundation. Try Wet N Wild and other inexpensive brands until you find a liquid foundation that works while saving you beauty cash at the same time. Beauty expenses add up and any time you can get beauty basics on the cheap you save money. Wet N Wild foundation is a top rated friend of budget stylistas. It provides sheer, lightweight coverage but still evens out imperfections while appearing natural. Sun Kissed #183 does provide moderate spf protection against sunburn but I always recommend using a real sun screen prior on your skin every day for maximum protection rather than relying on the sunscreen that comes in the makeup alone.
If Wet N Wild does not work for you or irritates your skin don’t give up on finding a different drugstore makeup brand that can save you money. Drugstore makeup tends to cost substantially less than what you pay at department stores and specialty stores. Your goal should be to get what you can at the drugstore, and spend money only on your must “must have / can’t live without” items at the more expensive stores. The key to saving money on cosmetics is to understand that you don’t have to buy all of your makeup from one single cosmetics line. If you like Clinic or Estee Lauder makeup for example, break it down into what specific Clinic or Estee Lauder items your really love and try to get the other items for less. Don’t be afraid of using a combination of makeup brands because the mix and match approach is going to save you money big time. Look gorgeous and save money at the same time ladies!

Wet n Wild is a discount cosmetics brand you can find at the drugstore. For the low price and good quality I like their Tinted Moisturizer (liquid foundation) in Sun Kissed #183 color
