Do you need tumescent liposuction and tummy tuck cosmetic surgery to get rid of excess fat and skin if you are over forty?!

Los angeles tumescent liposuction and tummy tucks! You'd almost need cosmetic plastic surgery to be in your forties and look twenty years younger. Monroe's curvy body is sexy!

Liposuction surgery can lead to liposuction plus a tummy tuck, or liposuction plus a neck lift even!

Liposuction is the most popular cosmetic surgery. It is a surgical procedure that involves removing fat from beneath the skin’s surface. The best candidates for liposuction are active and healthy, and reasonably near to their ideal body weight. It works best to remove isolated pockets of fat that don’t respond to natural diet and exercise routines.

    Liposuction and the older woman

Older women that undergo liposuction need to have good skin elasticity so that the skin can shrink properly to the reduced contour after fat is removed. If the skin is inelastic, a surgeon might recommend a more serious skin tightening surgical procedure as well, such as a tummy-tuck surgery in the case of tummy liposuction or a neck lift in conjunction with neck or jowel liposuction. Issues of skin elasticity, and having a less resilient body as we age, makes liposuction surgery more serious in a way, for mature women. A seemingly innocent wish for a little liposuction can easily land you into a major plastic surgery, particularly if you have excess skin.

Regardless of the liposuction techniques utilized by the surgeon, liposuction is most definitely a major surgery and no substitute for a good diet and regular exercise. Certain women are plagued with stubborn areas of fat that just won’t respond to exercise. If their skin is elastic and able to bounce back, liposuction can effectively reshape that area. For women where the surgery is successful, they are usually very happy with results. I think liposuction is more popular and practical for women who are into middle age, but not so much for seniors. Older women, say closing in on their sixties or older, seem to be far more interested in getting face lifts at that stage in life, than getting liposuction. Maybe it is because they aren’t expecting to be cruising around in bikinis and posting pictures of themselves on international twitter, like ahem, Demi Moore.

    The Cougar Body

Demi Moore recently posted bikini pictures of herself on twitter which made news. Other celebs followed suit like Lisa Rinna posted a swimsuit picture of herself after that too, as if to mock or make a bit of fun of Demi. Sadly, the seemingly obnoxious flaunting of their Los Angeles bodies is not at all unusual. It’s not just the celebrity women that do this. Women all over the place post risqué photographs on their twitter and facebook profiles. I see it all the time.

Professional women in their forties are flaunting it more than ever, especially the single and ready to mingle ones. You’ve got single high profile career women in their forties posting photos of themselves in lingerie on prettiest girls of facebook competition forums. Obnoxious though it is, Moore’s twittering herself in sexy bikini photos is typical among the boomer women who want to show off the cosmetic work and gym dedication they put into their body and they aim to attract men and attention. Demi Moore’s photo speaks to what a lot of women are doing out there with their cell phone camera, twittering accounts, facebook photos and social networking wherein they display their bodies in very skimpy outfits!

If I had to place a wager on it, I’d bet that Demi Moore had liposuction not once but maybe even twice in between and or after she had her three kids. She readily admits to getting more than one breast implant surgery prior to and after that movie she starred in Striptease. She clearly also works out a lot too! You gotta admit her body rocks for being 47 at the time of her twittering.

If you were to go on a singles dating website like match or plenty of fish and take a look at women’s profiles, you’d be stunned by the risqué photographs that women in their forties are posting of themselves. It’s cougar like I guess, but in some creepy way it is sort of alarming and it smacks of desperation. Maybe I’ve just seen too many of these body flaunting photos lately. I too am guilty as charged of taking such photos of myself. Is it totally hot, desperate, or gross? I am honestly not so sure anymore. Women with lipo-sculptured, breast implanted, gym toned bodies seem compelled to flaunt their hard work and results from going under the cosmetic knife. Is that sexy? You tell me because I am slowly but surely (at least today …) starting to think it is not.

I say Curves are in for older Women

Surprisingly, many older women become obsessed with becoming slender, sometimes too slender for their own good. My only concern about liposuction for middle aged women is that they become too flattened out from it. It is my belief that having some curve and jiggle is a sign of youth. Therefore any older women considering liposuction should be cautious as to where fat is being removed lest they become too rail flat. You don’t want to look older as a result of some body fat becoming gone. Especially as we age, having a little bit of curvy weight adds youthful appeal to a woman’s body. Consider the picture example of two celebrity women. Sex symbol Marilyn Monroe certainly retained a youthful look to her body with her curve appeal, where as an extremely thinned out Hollywood starlet can look decades older than her actual age. By today’s standards, Monroe would be going in for lipo and I say, she wouldn’t need it, she looks voluptuous!

Liposuction, Tummy Tucks, and the Los Angeles woman with the Beverly Hills Body

Women go to great lengths to retain if not surgically create a beautiful bikini body for themselves. The societal pressure to be shapely is enormous. Women of Los Angeles and Hollywood flaunt it. It seems to me that women into natural beauty have to be ever more confident of them selves as they sit by and watch women around them jumping onto the plastic surgery regime, becoming internet exhibitionists to show off results.

We should be able to find humor in regards to the lengths aging women will go to in the quest to ward off the aging process. Suddenly middle-aged women seem to be competing with women twenty years younger. At this rate, where are women headed next with all these surgeries becoming commonplace? If you can’t beat them, should you join them?

Clearly, the risks, benefits, and social statement of major cosmetic surgery such as liposuction (and the women who are getting it) is no laughing matter. For some, plastic surgery is just a sign of modern technology and a desire to look our best as we strive to live longer. For others, plastic surgery is downright superficial and weird. Liposuction is being marketed almost like a lunch time procedure. But if you look at photos afterwards such as the plastic surgery book photograph at upper left, you can see that this is a major impact to a woman’s body to get lipo, no matter how they market it. I’m not knocking the surgery per se, if a woman wants liposuction once in her living life who is to stop her. But older women considering it should understand it’s not a lunch time appointment. I am the middle aged mom in the gray swimsuit. Follow the liposuction link below for more information and ponderings on the latest liposuction surgery techniques.
