    First step to a perfect bikini body. Tone up. How? By losing fat and building muscle!




    Do you look at celebrity women and supermodels and wonder how they stay in should good shape? Women tend to assume that famous people have good figures because they have the money to employ dieticians and personal trainers and buy whatever plastic surgery procedures such as breast implants and liposuction that they want. Especially if your body is far from a perfect 10, it is easy to get discouraged and think that a perfect body is unobtainable.

    Tone Up

    If you want a perfect body you have to start at square one, the most important step. By far this step is to get toned. A toned body by definition has muscle and less fat. In fact you need low enough body fat so you can see the muscle! Believe it or not going to the gym just a few days a week for several months will put you on the fast track to a toned body, and it only costs you a few bucks a month. A gym membership usually costs about thirty dollars a month. The time involved is approximate one half hour to an hour, a few days a week.

    Burn the Fat

    You can reduce your fat simply by going on those cardio machines you see at the gym. You can go on a machine for up to one half hour, at a difficulty level that feels comfortable. There is the stair master, the life cycle (stationary bike), the walking treadmill or the rowing machine. Go on one of those every other visit and burn calories. As long as you keep your diet the same, or even better watch what you eat, you will see that the aerobic nature of the cardio machines will help you burn that fat off.

    Resistance Training

    Now that you are burning fat on those cardio machines, you need to add in the magic ingredient which is called resistance training. Resistance training pits your muscles in different parts of your body against an opposing weight. Doing this builds up the muscle and is going to give you the toned look. Some women use free hand held weights or even gravity (for example standing squats and lunges). I personally don’t care for free weights or heavy body building. But guess what the nautilus machines work great for building muscle!

    Try to go though five or ten nautilus machines when you visit the gym. Most gyms have a certified trainer that will show you how to use the equipment and adjust the settings. I usually keep the weights at on average 3 or 4 weight blocks depending on the machine so not to strain myself.

    Check your progress after a few months

    Take a picture of yourself in a swimsuit before you start my simple tone up plan. Then hit the gym a few times a week mixing up the two things (cardio and nautilus). After three months take another picture and compare. I promise you will be amazed at how your body is turning that much closer to perfect! Remember you don’t have to be a rich celebrity to look like one. Getting toned is your first step to a perfect body.       Hi…im silkie….im 26 yrs old…with 5’4 height and 64kg weight.
      i hate my body…..its bulky n hav double chin too…i look more of aged…
      wt do i do?.

      Hi Silkie, well if your body can take it, start out with trying to walk daily. If you can build up to 20 minutes almost every day you’ll be on your way to that bikini body. As for the double chin, you are pretty young so if you get into better physical condition your skin can probably bounce back. Try not to let your weight fluctuate too much and lose weight slowly and steadily into the future. Later on as you start to feel better you can join a gym.

      Hi Patty, Im a 27 year old female, i currently weigh between 80 and 90 kgs, i feel very heavy and tired, i hate this weight, but when i try to exercise its very hard, i get hot and sweaty and feel tired fast, do u have any tips on how i can lose weight more easily? i have been trying for a long time. i also love food, i try to eat healthy, but i would rather have one really yummy meal a day than 3 healthy ones that dont taste good.

      Sometimes when you have only one meal a day, you just sooo full and sort of lethargic. You feel like taking a nap after. I actually don’t like the whole dieting 6-7 small means a day concept. But, having three is probly best because it gives you the energy you need throughout the day. Try for three, and eat normally, not bird-food. Then, maybe cut out the snacks at night etc. If you couple that together with walking you should do ok. If you get too tired and sweaty maybe you are going for to hard of a workout that requires too much sweat and motivation. Try walking or going on the exercise machine a few days a week. Eat healthy meals three times daily and try to cut out the junk food. You should see results in a few months and also feel better. Thanks for writing!
