What is my ideal Weight? How Much Should I Weigh? Women’s Height/Weight Chart
Height Weight Chart for Women
Do you know how much you are supposed to weigh? All women have seen those weight charts which let you know how much you should weigh for your particular height. I spent several hours surfing these charts on a variety of diet blogs online and found a wide number of diet charts suggesting ideal weight for women. I picked data from one chart that was quite simple and seemed to be fair and reasonable in the values it suggested for us mature ladies. I am showing the preferred weight ranges for women in this beauty post.
I liked how the ranges were fairly relaxed meaning that you do not have to be too slender or overweight – just in a healthy range. Now when you check your target age range in the height weight chart be sure to consider your bone structure and body build. Some women have a bigger boned stocky figure as compared to others. Some women are more muscular and muscle can actually weigh more than fat.

Are you out of your weight range?
For starters, if you are completely off the chart then obviously your goal is to eat healthier and employ mellow exercise over a course of months and years to gradually shift your weight into a reasonable range. Being one level out of range is not bad at all. If you are more than that, make sure to lose weight slowly and steadily so that you can maintain the result. Obviously I am not a diet doctor, but if it were me personally I would estimate a year of healthier eating to move down one category (from one range down to the next lower weight range). For most people that means that if they clean up their act for a few years they can get into an ideal weight. Give yourself the time you need to succeed.
Are you in the right age range?
Let’s say you fall into the range for your height, or maybe you squeek into the next weight range bracket up from where you should be (not too too bad). The most important thing to consider once you are in the right weight range for your height, is where in your target weight range are you the most comfortable. You want to find a target weight where you can reasonably maintain it within plus or minus five pounds without having to stress yourself out dieting. If that means that you need to stay at the high end of your range then fine.
Trust me that maintaining a stable weight is critical for your beauty. If you struggle to maintain a weight you are more likely to yoyo up and down and that weight fluctuation can wreck havoc on your skin’s elasticity giving you a whole new set of problems related to loose skin. Loose skin can be such a problem that you actually need plastic surgery to correct excess skin! Some women experience substantial weight gain and loss from pregnancy for instance. As an example they can be left with loose stomach skin afterwards and no way to get rid of it except getting a tummy tuck plastic surgery which leaves an unsightly plastic surgery scar on your abdomin. You generally have to trade loose skin for a surgery scar. That is just an example however it demonstrates that fluctuating can lead to loose skin (e.g. in the stomach, neck, and arms – those bat wings/flab under your arms) and other cosmetic problems such as dimpled cellulite. For these reasons it is best to try and get into a healthy weight range and then stay somewhere within that range where it is easiest for you to maintain the weight for life and not fluctuate too much or struggle with it.
